Mully's Nacoochee Grill was originally a rural north Georgia farmhouse that was built in the Leaf Community of White County in the early 1900's. The former family farmhouse was moved to the Historic Nacoochee Village in 2000, which adjoins Sautee and the southern portion of Alpine Helen. The farmhouse was restored and renovated into a fine dining facility in 2000 and has been a perennial favorite in this area for years. In June 2013 the facility reopened under new ownership changing from Nacoochee Grill to Mully's Nacoochee Grill. Greg "Mully" Ash is the new managing partner of the facility. Mully is a lifelong resident of White County, an avid cook himself, who served as Mayor and Commissioner of Helen from 1998 to 2012.
The family run restaurant specializes in comfortably upscale Southern and American cuisine with chef created unique specials daily. Mully's Nacoochee Grill is particularly well known for its grilled local trout, shrimp and grits, hand cut steaks, and grilled fresh salmon. Customer favorites also include smoked ribs, grit fritters, and special smoked cheddar grits. Private dining is available for lunch or dinner for special occasions or groups. The restaurant also features a full bar and outside porch dining, all situated in a rural early turn of the century setting. Also featured is a wide selection of wines including wines from well known local area vineyards.
